These documents span nearly a half century, beginning with initial efforts to reform the succession system during the Eisenhower administration. They chronicle the drafting of the Twenty-Fifth Amendment, a review of the Amendment’s first uses during the Watergate era, and post-9/11 efforts to ensure continuity of government.
