Synopsis
The Appellate Term, First Department dismissed a pro se tenant's appeal as moot. The lower court (Judge Basu) had denied the tenant's order to show cause for failure to show proof of rental assistance the tenant claimed was approved. The tenant was subsequently evicted, rendering the appeal moot because any determination regarding the order would not affect the rights of the parties.
